We met many of our fellow cruisers
for this Panama
Canal cruise on the Internet. We regularly check www.cruisecritic.com
discussion groups for information, and cruising
ideas. Many cruisers use this website to discuss
cruises, ask cruise questions, help with answers, and spread
the enjoyment that cruising offers.
Royal Caribbean had
set up an "official" party for us, but our
indomitable cruisers were quicker than that,
and we enjoyed a number of informal get-togethers
throughout the cruise. This page has many photos
taken at these events, official and not.
These pictures were taken primarily with our new
Kodak DX6490, which we love. The 10x optical
zoom is great, and the electronics do a fine
job of automatic adjustment and flash operations.

Enjoy the images, but please don't steal
them!

plenty of CruiseCritic folks getting together while
still in San Diego.

Some folks met on CruiseCritic: Margaret,
Milo, and Margaret's father Henry. Ringleaders?
yes; troublemakers? absolutely; our kind of people?
definitely.
|
More of this clan; Margaret is
enjoying her dinner with enthusiasm.

The official CC party, run by Royal Caribbean. By
this time we were all "veterans".
|
Royal Caribbean handed out nice
gifts, and had a drawing.
|
We supplied chocolate-covered
macadamia nuts for the party,
and Royal Caribbean did not.

More official party.

Christmas day, our final unofficial party. Sad
to see everyone go, sad the cruise is
over.

|
Milo's secret to popularity was having
a laptop that actually worked. Ours
had troubles during the cruise (grump!)
